A Scottish name. Representing the Ulster Presbyterian strand in Ireland's history, the fictional Law family first appear in the 'Ascendancy' chapter of the second book of Rutherfurd's Irish saga. The story follows their progress from the eighteenth to the twentieth century in Belfast, Dublin and America.
